On Dec. 7, 2017, Qian Xianguo, secretary-general of CHIDA; Gu Ming, Chief Engineer of CCCC-TDC; and Gao Wei, General Technologist of CCCC-TDC and President of CCCC-THY welcomed Mr. Valery Bondur, Vice President of Russian Academy of Sciences and his team in the headquarter of CCCC-TDC. Ding Shuyou, Executive Vice Director of the CCCC-TDC Technology Center; Wang Liqiang, Vice President of CCCC-THY; and Luo Gang, Vice President of CCCC-THY, were also at the meeting.
Mr. Valery Bondur also serves as president of
the International Eurasian Academy of Sciences, foreign academician of the Chinese
Academy of Sciences, and honorary president of the Tianjin OSTAR Ocean Science
and Technology Development Research Institute. Mr. Bondur’s visit was at the
invitation by CCCC-TDC, Mr. Lobkovsky Leopold, Vice Director of P.P. Shirshov
Institute of Oceanology, academician of the RAS, and president of the Tianjin
OSTAR Ocean Science and Technology Development Research Institute, and Zhang
Yang, General Manager of the Tianjin OSTAR Ocean Science and Technology
Development Research Institute
accompanied the visit.

General Engineer Gu Ming welcomed vice
president Bondur on behalf of CCCC-TDC. He introduced the history and
development of CCCC-TDC and expressed positive
attitude towards cooperation in projects such as the “Belt and Road
Initiative,” the Arctic route, and the “Silk Road on Ice.”
After attending the “Centennial TDC”
exhibition, Mr. Bondur highly praised the achievement of TDC in its 120-year
history and its contribution to China’s, the Asian, and the world dredging
community. Mr. Bondur said he’s hopeful to establish a cooperative relationship with CCCC-TDC.

During the meeting, Valery Bondur
introduced the RAS and IEAS, the surveying and inspection of the Arctic route,
and the progress of the “Digital Silk Road” project. Mr. Bondur hoped that both
parties could take advantage of TDC’s
technological advantages to deepen cooperation in the development and
construction of the Arctic route.
Secretary-general Qian introduced the
history of China’s dredging industry, the rapid development in the new century,
and the important mission to build a beautiful China and beautiful world. He
confirmed CHIDA’s commitment to the
sustainable development of dredging and ecological industry and international
cooperation such as the “Belt and Road Initiative” and the “Silk Road on Ice.”
He also expressed strategic partnership of cooperation between China and Russia
will provide advantageous ground for cooperation in dredging and oceanology.
China’s dredging industry hopes to work with the RAS in fields like technology
marketing, market exploration and more. Mr. Qian also invited Mr. Bondur and
his fellow experts to the 2019 22nd World Dredging Conference hosted
by CHIDA.
Experts from the Tianjin OSTAR Ocean Science and Technology Development
Research Institute and Second Institute of Oceanography also attended the
meeting.
